The Best Diet

I could make this post about every diet out there and highlight the flaws and utter BS in each or I can tell you straight up, the best diet that will help you achieve your goal of weight loss or building muscle.
I'm sure you'd love to see the words, Keto is the best or the latest High Carb Diet is but, the truth is they're all just money making schemes layered in BS.
If your chosen diet reduces the total amount of calories eaten on a daily basis, over time you will lose weight or, if your goal was to build muscle, then eating a little more than you need (a little means 200-1000 calories a day more not stuffing your face with as much as you can handle)
That's basically it.
The better question is what can you stick to for LIFE?
If you want to exist on shakes for the rest of your life do herbalife.
If you don't like eating cake, chocolate, sweets or some other stodgy tasty food, then do something like keto.
If you enjoy weighing, tracking and meal prepping then by all means live by the rules of some ridiculous PT, slimming world or weight watchers... spending a small fortune on special/recommended foods, meals and snacks.
Or you could just start being accountable for the choices you make.
That means make sure most of your meals consist of protein (meat, fish, beans, lentils, soya), lots of fresh, colourful veggies, a little carbs (rice, pasta, bread, oats) and some healthy fats (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado) and limit the amount of junk food you scoff when you've had a bad day or feeling bored.
The Best Diet is the one you can stick with for the rest of your life. Without the rules, restrictions and end of week punishment just because the scales went up.
The longer you keep falling for the latest diet fad the longer you will struggle to reach your goals.
The basics always work if you can feed your body what it needs and enjoy the tasty stuff without the guilt and internal assault (aka telling yourself you're naugthy and need to work it off)
